This was about 5 years ago. It still works perfectly I might add. Last week I decided we needed a small vac with a spinning brush for light work on the weekdays when we don't want to haul out the bad boy. I decided I wasn't going to one of the big retailers because reading reviews on small vacuum cleaners does no good. I looked up the local vacuum cleaner retailer in the phone book and off we went. He showed us some vacuums and we had a nice chat, and I noticed a bunch of vacuums tagged and lined against the wall. There was maybe ten of them. I mentioned something about the Dysons and he told me to follow him. It's just not Dyson mind you (me talking now). All the ones they sell at the big box stores really are garbage. I can understand if you can't spare the money for a really good vacuum, but you can spare the money if you're buying a Dyson.
