The brushes keep rotating but you can hear them slowing down and the same channels that had suction have a blow back due to the lack of vacuum and now blockack as the brushes rotate out the debris. To resolve this remove the accessory and clean out the upper part of the inlet from the ameassed hair. In my case it amazes hair and some dust. You should be able to see the top of the brushes if it clear. If not there is still debris. Once that is restored the unit is back to normal. But it does get clogged so it’s not maintainence free as it may suggest unless the debris load is light. Despite this maintainence I would rather have bought the one device than the 3 others that broke prior to this one.I was ready to dispose of the entire vacuum and choose another brand but I decided to give this head a try. It really picks up the hair, pine needles and cat fur from our carpets. I wish it was a swivel type and a bit larger but for a small apartment size vacuum like the DC 26, it really works well. I easily got five times as much stuff off the carpet compared to the almost useless stock turbine head. It does not slow down and really fluffs up the pile nicely.
