The 1739 answering machine also automatically saves your messages until you delete them. It includes features like English and Spanish voice prompts, time and day stamp, memos (voice notes), memory, volume control and LED lights. (The LED lights up when you press a button on the answering machine.) Even though it has many features, you will find that this answering machine is relatively simple to set up and to use. Step 1 Connect the telephone line into your telephone. Attach the other end in the back of the answering machine. The abbreviation for the telephone line input jack is, “Tel Set.” Step 2 Plug the answering machine into an electrical outlet.http://www.raumboerse-luzern.ch/mieten/3ware-8506-12-manual Use the strain-relief tab to prevent people from tripping over the cord. Dan the Man 4.0 out of 5 stars Set-up is straightforward. If you use their pre-recorded message (you can also record your onw) you'll have 56 minutes of recording (not the 48 minutes they advertise), so that's bonus. Actually, I can't find anything to complain about with this unit. The controls are easy to learn and it simply works fine. A good product at an excellent price. I gave it only 4 stars because all digital recorders lack depth of tone, but, hey.it's an answering maching not a hi-fi recorder, but I have no problem understanding calls, controlling the unit or retrieving calls when I'm not home. NIce little basic answering machine that just works well. It's an excellent answering machine. It's easy to program and easy to use. There are great options. If you choose, telemarketer calls are blocked and not allowed through. The message audio is clear. The buttons are clear. Just be smart and read through the instructions first. The machine basically walks you through the set up. Leave the instructions near the phone if you need to reprogram if you lose power to your house. I love this machine. If anything happens to it I'll buy another one just the same. This ease-of-use is due partly a brief written tutorial included with the phone in case you need it, but even nicer is the fact that, as you're setting up the functions, the machine gives you audio instructions as well.http://www.franklinwebdesign.com/wp-content/plugins/formcraft/file-upload/server/content/files/1628b6635335fb---Canon-powershot-sx120is-manual.pdf I just LOVE products that do what they should without my having to read a novella to figure out how to make that happen, and if it's so easy to figure out that I don't need to read at all, I'll buy it. A well-designed product should be so self-explanatory that reading should be minimal, and I found that to be the case with this machine. The only thing that could definitely be improved is the sound quality, both incoming and outgoing (my own greeting). It's sometimes hard to catch the name or number if people talk too fast or are calling from a cell. But it's not a major problem, and for the price, it's alright. I don't see the point in paying every month to get voice mail when this machine does precisely the same thing without storing my messages in someone else's server, and here I can save my messages to my heart's content without having to re-save after 21 days. We've all gotten those sweet greetings we never want to erase, and contact info on which we'll be following up periodically. Now, if ATT provided a way to get those off the machine and save in an audio file so we could run those as we're taking care of our follow-ups (helpful business app), that would be innovative and I'd love it. As it stands, however, this machine provides a nice package of features. You can decide whether or not you want your messages broadcast as they come in, whether or not you want the phone numbers announced so you can hear it across the room and decide if the call is something you want to drop what you're doing to answer, you choose whether or not you want the number stored with the message, whether to accept blocked calls, receive a message alert (beeps every 15 seconds to let you know there's a new call if you forget to check when you come home), etc. You also get remote access, language setting, ring select (choose how many before the machine picks up, between 2 and 7), and a dedicated button for set-up.5571818.com/userfiles/files/bresser-compass-manual.pdf All told, it's a nice little package for a just a few clams, and no monthly fee from the phone company. I like it.So I bought this model, which I noticed got mixed reviews. Within a month, this machine started acting weird. My doctor's office was not able to leave a message. Worse, they thought they were leaving a message, but it never recorded. I had no indication they'd called. When I found out, I asked the receptionist to try again, then call me on my cell phone. She did try, and again thought she left a message, but nothing was indicated. Then another one of my friends said the machine hung up on him twice, so he also couldn't leave a message. Several other friends and businesses started reporting they also weren't able to leave messages. When I was present in the room, listening to the calls, it sounded like people just hung up and I heard no voices. So the problem was more than just inability to record messages. It wasn't even taking them. I have now disconnected the machine, and put back my old model. At least the old one only hung up on my sister. I suspect the issue may have to do with today's phones, especially mobile phones that may broadcast in a different manner which the answering machines can't pick up. I wish I saw a solution to this problem.Easy to set up. Voice messaging and incoming messages are very clear. Recommend this one highly, as we have had problems with voice levels and clarity with other machines. Great for the price.A par cela, tout etait OK.In order to navigate out of this carousel please use your heading shortcut key to navigate to the next or previous heading. Assuming 120VAC input, 6VAC would be a 20:1 step-down. Absent a compatible power supply, I decided to take it apart.http://mountmedpharmacy.co.za/wp-content/plugins/formcraft/file-upload/server/content/files/1628b6642ef15e---canon-powershot-sx120is-manual-online.pdf Taking a closer look, we see the silkscreen text “BS COB(MASK)” on the printed circuit board on top of the module, and “35-006657-001-100” beneath it: This seems about right, despite being part of the aging Plain old telephone service (POTS) system, this is a relatively modern device. Unlike answering machines of yore, there is no tape. Where are the messages stored.I have never had a memory-featured item “wear out” like this one. Well, I got a line transformer which ouptuts 21VAC and 10.5VAC from the Kinyo 1-way VHS Rewinder UV-428 teardown. Stepping down these to 6VAC could be done with a 3.5:1 or 1.75:1 ratio transformer. Desolder the DC motor which was wired to the rectifier board’s output, leaving us with the AC wall plug connected to the transformer (red wires), the stepped-down AC output and rectifier board: At about 13 VDC output, minus about 1.8 V drop across the LED, divided by 20 milliamperes maximum, computes to a 560 ? resistor. Picked the next closest, a 680 ?, which will limit the current slightly more. Soldered it up, minding the LED polarity, now we have a simple power indicator to see when it is on: Use a higher-wattage resistor if the circuit needs to be powered for extended periods of time, or better yet, step down or buck the voltage to a more appropriate level. But for now, this’ll do. It feeds the input voltage, across a spark gap, directly into a 4-diode full-wave bridge rectifier. Much of the circuit is DC, but it may still use AC for some purpose. Another thread suggests using a resistive voltage divider. But what would be most immediately testable is a transformer where we could adjust the ratio to get the right voltage, this exists and is known as a variac or variable autotransformer. The complete contraption: It seemed to be working! No more blinking answering LED. Instead, the 7-segment display briefly turned on, then slowly off.http://exactblue.com/wp-content/plugins/formcraft/file-upload/server/content/files/1628b664a6c7b1---Canon-powershot-sx20-is-manual-mode.pdf Best picture I could capture of this phenomena: When the makeshift 6 VAC power supply is plugged in, the output voltage, as measured by multimeter, spikes to overload, before the scale adjusts to the expected value. Inrush current ? Furthermore, there are no regulators anywhere in this supply. The voltage comes in from the mains, then is stepped down from a fixed ratio, and then from a variable ratio, but there is no circuitry to ensure the voltage never exceeds a maximum threshold or drops below a minimum. Whatever comes out of the wall, divided down, is what the answering machine circuitry will get. Was a component fried. The fuse, at least, was still good. Couldn’t get it to work. Oh well, had to give up. At least it briefly may have worked. Next time, maybe make a regulated AC power supply. Seeing as it appears to briefly turn “on” when first plugged in, assuming a voltage spike. At 21 VAC, the speaker makes a constant clicking noise, and the 7-segment display illuminates all the segments. No blinking answering LED, in any case. Not sure what is going on here, but it is time to write it off. Not much to this board, but here is what I desoldered, at least for the time being.
